The Redflex suite of next generation fixed speed cameras break new
ground in technology and aesthetics by redefining a product category in
enhanced detection rates and accuracy along with visual form and styling that
integrates into the super modern urban environments of Abu Dhabi. The project brief called for the development of a technically advanced fixed speed enforcement system from a company that is already at the forefront of traffic safety systems, Redflex Traffic Systems (RTS). In addition to the next generation speed detection technologies being developed by RTS, the D+I design team was called upon to develop advanced enclosure systems that principally would meet the challenging requirements and be aesthetically sensitive to the Abdu Dhabi 2030 vision of their super modern metropolis while delivering commercial objectives of system adaptability and multi-configuration capability in a multitude of environments. Due to these driving factors an opportunity was identified to break the paradigm of what traditionally has been a speed camera setup of a box on a pole. |
