San Francisco rolls out IPS Parking Meters

San Francisco has started to replace over 5,000 parking meters with the 'smarter' new IPS meters that automatically adjust parking rates based on demand and free spaces. The parking space are fitted with sensors that monitor availability, it also means that drivers will be able to search for  available parking spaces via their phone or computer before embarking on their trip.
